Gomo: Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

Gomo ("the app") is made by Bui Dinh Dan ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. It covers the iOS and Android apps.

Summary

Data Collection & Analytics

Stored on your device

Your chosen sanctuary, language, sound mix, breathing pattern, visual mode, reminder choice and your private meditation log (minutes, sits and streak days) are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.

Shared sanctuaries (online)

When you sit in a sanctuary while online, the app connects over an encrypted connection (TLS) to our presence server (wss://gomo.buidan.com/ws). The server receives:

Others in the room see only an anonymous silhouette and the number of people present. The server keeps nothing after you leave. There is no chat, voice or video. Offline, nothing is sent.

Reminders

If you turn on reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device before the 05:00 and 21:30 group sits. They are created on your phone; nothing is sent from a server.

Advertising and analytics

The app shows no ads and does not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics or any other analytics or tracking SDK.

Third-Party SDK Disclosures

The app includes no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
